The Detroit Lions got some more negative news on the injury front as they practiced on Thursday afternoon.
Already down several players who are rehabbing injuries, the team lost an additional two players to injury.
Halapoulivaati Vaitai was hurt near the end of today’s session. According to Michael Rothstein of ESPN, he was able to walk off under his own power and waived off a cart headed to the locker room:
Additionally, OT Dan Skipper also left practice with an injury.
Vaitai was signed as a free-agent from the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason, while Skipper joined the team from the practice squad in December.
Let’s hope the team can get healthy before the games begin next month.
