Happy 38th birthday Henrik Zetterberg! [VIDEOS]

The Detroit Red Wings’ now-former captain Henrik Zetterberg retired from play this year. His degenerative back issues became too much to play through. Regardless, with 1082 games played in his career, all with Detroit, Zetterberg doesn’t owe anyone anything.

His career 337 goals and 623 assists are good for a career .887 points per game production. Additionally, he touts 100 power play goals and a 9.8% shooting percentage. Zetterberg brought it to the ice every night, and he made all players around him better for being there.

Today he turns 38, and while we miss him dearly on the ice, we want to celebrate this occasion with him! So enjoy just a few of the many, many highlights from his career.

Happy Birthday, Zetterberg! Here’s to many, many more!
