Friday night’s game between DuBois (Pa.) and Meadville (Pa.) was not your typical high school football game. In fact, by looking at the final score, most would think it was a high scoring high school basketball game.
Meadville ended up winning the game by a score of 107-90. That’s right, Meadville actually scored so many points that the scoreboard could not hold it!

Just as incredible as the final score, are a couple of individual performances that occurred in the game.
Meadville’s running back Journey Brown rushed for a video-game-like 720 yards and 10 touchdowns. If that total stands true, it would be the second highest rushing performance ever, only behind Netcong (N.J.) running back John Giannanonio who ran for 754 yards back in 1950.
Not to be outdone was Dubois quarterback Matt Miller who tossed for 788 or 740 yards, depending on which team’s stats you use.
. @Tribune_Sports had Miller for 740 yards, which would be just shy of the national record. This one could take a few days to sort out

DuBois Courier had Miller for 788 yards passing which would be national record and is 47 yards more than Meadville Trib had him for.

I think it’s safe to say we will not see a high school football game like this again for a long time.
