On Tuesday night, the Detroit Red Wings, who have been playing much better lately, were shut out 2-0 by the Nashville Predators.
But the result is not the biggest news to come out of the game as an NHL referee apparently wanted to cheat by calling an unwarranted penalty against the Predators.
We know this because the referee was mic’d up!
Check it out.
Maybe if you're a mic'd up ref, you shouldn't express how you wanted to call a penalty against a team earlier in the game, changing how you ref the rest of the game.

From MLive:
It happened after Nashville’s Viktor Arvidsson was called for tripping Jon Merrill at 4:56 of the second period.
“It wasn’t much, but I wanted to get a (expletive) penalty against Nashville early in the …” a voice said on the Nashville broadcast before it faded.
