Injured defender Mario Ojemudia may return to U-M next year

Mario Ojemudia injured his achilles tendon two weeks ago in the game against University of Maryland and it was thought at the time that the injury would end Ojemudia’s career at University of Michigan. Due to the seriousness of this injury and the expected recovery time, Ojemudia will be out for the remainder of the 2015 season. According to a BTN blogJim Harbaugh has indicated that he would investigate the possibility of another year of football for the defensive standout player.

Defensive line coach, Greg Mattison, visited Ojemudia in the hospital following a successful surgery and indicated that his rehab should be measured and cautious:

“I told him to be patient with his recovery,” Mattison told me Saturday. “The players who have trouble coming back from that kind of injury always rush it.”

Ojemudia is a senior at the University of Michigan and had recorded 19 tackles along with two sacks for the Wolverines this season.
