The laundry list of wounded warriors for the Detroit Tigers has been well-documented so far this spring. Most of the injuries are coming from what will be their everyday lineup players, too. Detroit can now add one more Tiger to the list of players to be sidelined this spring.
The Tigers are taking on the Atlanta Braves on Friday, and they will be without their second baseman and catalyst. Ian Kinsler was reportedly a late scratch earlier today due to left shoulder soreness. He is now being listed as day-to-day.
If there is a positive angle to this news, it is that it is now stemming from his throwing arm. Kinsler now joins the likes of Alex Avila, Yoenis Cespedes, and Jose Iglesias to have been removed from the starting lineup or a game due to an injury. The 32-year old was hitting a cool .333 this spring, with 1 home run and 5 RBI’s in six contests.
Stay tuned for further updates on Kinsler and other injured Tigers.
