The Tigers have been without the services of Nick Castellanos since he fractured a finger getting hit by a pitch on August 6th against the New York Mets.
After suffering a couple of set backs during the rehab process, Castellanos may finally be nearing a return in the final week of the season.
Nick Castellanos could return to the Tigers lineup by the weekend, manager Brad Ausmus said.Featured Videos

Castellanos was enjoying a break out season at the plate, hitting .286 with a career high 18 home runs, and 58 RBI. Had he stayed healthy, Castellanos likely would have set a career high in RBI as well. 2016 was just the third full season for Castellanos, and he was starting to turn into more of a complete player. His defensive range looked better throughout the season, and had solidified himself in the middle of the Tigers lineup.
