On Friday, the Detroit Lions had quite the scare when their starting middle linebacker Jarrad Davis went down with what looked to be a serious leg injury.
Davis was eventually carted off the field and he was in tears as he left the field.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport, Davis was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain. The injury could force him to miss some time early on in the season but it is not season-ending like we once feared it could be.
#Lions LB Jarrad Davis was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain, source said. While he should miss time early in the season, the word is he’s already feeling better and it’s a long way from what many thought last night. He’s an essential team leader on that defense.
