Justin Verlander to miss scheduled start on Tuesday

With Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Justin Verlander being sidelined with injury in the early goings of the 2015, there has been a lot of speculation about when he will be ready to make his season debut. On Friday, it was announced that he will not pitch on Tuesday as originally scheduled when the Tigers take on the New York Yankees.

Instead, Kyle Lobstein (1-0, 5.40 ERA) will make his second start for Detroit. His first start was last Sunday against the Cleveland Indians, when he went five innings, gave up eight hits, three earned runs, two walks, and struck out three batters.
