Well, as we know, the Detroit Red Wings will not have the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, despite having what was by far the worst record in the league.

Instead, thanks to a lack of luck in the Draft Lottery, the Red Wings will be selecting at No. 4 in the 1st round.
One player Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman is likely considering just so happens to have patterned his game after Red Wings great, Pavel Datsyuk.
That player is Marco Rossi.
In fact, Rossi told reporters that Datsyuk was his idol growing up and that he was amazed by his defensive abilities.

From Detroit News:
“My dad always taught me to play well in the defensive zone,” Rossi said. “He said if you understand how to play defense, you’ll be in position offensively. I took that advice really serious when I was young. When I watched hockey highlights, Pavel Datsyuk was my idol. It was crazy that a superstar that good could be so good defensively.”
Nation, if you were Steve Yzerman, would you pull the trigger on Marco Rossi with the No. 4 overall pick?
