If you have been following Twitter as of late, you have probably noticed some of the out-of-this-world contracts being handed out around the NBA. Whether it was Blake Griffin getting a 5-year $175 million deal from the Clippers or Steph Curry bringing home $201 million over the next five seasons, it seems like the NBA is the place to be if you are a professional athlete.
Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron has definitely been following the NBA offseason and shared his thoughts that maybe he chose the wrong sport.
Blake 175m's ???? I'm in the wrong sport

Ebron, who is 24-years-old, is set to make a base salary of just over $1.5 million in 2017 before moving up to about $5.2 million in 2018.
Lions wide receiver Golden Tate thinks Ebron should stick with football.
No you not big fella trust me. I've seen that shot
— Golden Tate (@ShowtimeTate) July 1, 2017
As we know, the NBA has become a 3-point shooting league, something Ebron did not do much of the last time he played organized hoops in high school. In fact, according to Max Preps, in his 24 total games during his junior and senior year at Ben L. Smith High School in North Carolina, Ebron did not attempt a single 3-point shot.
From Max Preps:
Yeah, we agree with Tate.

…just because Bob exercised his option on EE
…doesn’t mean he’s a lock to make the team in 2018
…Bob does have the option to cut him if he sees fit
…nothing has changed for Eric since he entered the league
…he still does not and will not run block
…he didn’t in college and he hasn’t in the pros
…the only reason this guy will make the team this year
…is because his salary in 100% guaranteed
