Former Detroit Red Wings forward Anthony Mantha scored in his Washington Capitals debut, and now, it's Jakub Vrana‘s turn to do the same with Detroit.
Making his debut with Detroit alongside Richard Panik after Monday's blockbuster deal that saw the pair of forwards swapped for Mantha, he made a good first impression on the fans of Hockeytown by also scoring in his first appearance in the Winged Wheel.
After exiting the penalty box, Vrana took a pass from Gustav Lindstrom and broke in alone on Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen and beat him clean:
Jakub Vrana knows how to make a debut — jump out of the penalty box and go right in and score! That gives the #RedWings a 2-1 lead! #LGRW pic.twitter.com/JDmIU1gkQn
