As you have certainly heard by now, the Detroit Lions offense is currently leading the league in scoring and a lot of that scoring has been done by Jamaal Williams, who has been called upon early and often as D’Andre Swift has either played at less than 100% or not at all.
What record did Jamaal Williams set?
In fact, according to Detroit Lions PR, Jamaal Williams currently leads the entire NFL with 6 rushing touchdowns through Week 4.
In addition, Williams’ three multi-rushing TD games tie for the 2nd-most a Lions player has produced in a single season, trailing only Barry Sanders’ 5 such games in 1991.
Eventually, Swift will return to the starting lineup and Williams will lose some touches, but what he has done up to this point has been amazing for the Lions.
