Yes, you read that title correctly and if you made it this far, you probably want to know what the heck is going on. Am I right?

Well, after having a beautiful dinner with my family, I sat down and hopped on Twitter to see what was going on in the world for sports. While doing so, I immediately came across an article written by Matt Schoch of The Detroit News titled, “Tampa Bay’s Jameis Winston a useful case study if Lions look beyond Matthew Stafford.”
First of all, let me make one thing crystal clear. I would be absolutely shocked if the Detroit Lions were to move on from Matthew Stafford prior to the 2020 season. That being said, Schoch must think there is a chance the Lions trade Stafford, which would mean they would need a new starting QB. Schoch says Winston could be in that conversation if it ever takes place.
From Detroit News:
With 81 career interceptions in his five seasons, Winston has learned to bounce back.
“That’s one of his strengths is going on to the next play,” Arians said. “Good, bad or indifferent he’s on to the next play, and it’s like water off of his back, and it doesn’t bother him. I really like that about him.”
In the final year of his rookie contract, Winston could literally be one of the options for the Lions this offseason.
Nation, what do you make of this? Do you think there is any chance that Stafford is traded?
