Ryan is a Farmington native who enjoys all things basketball, particularly when it involves the Detroit Pistons. He spends much of his free time combing through NBA archives and curating footage of meaningless late-90's regular season performances for mass consumption.

Following this past Friday’s altercation between Andre Drummond and Raptors forward James Johnson, it appears at least one party may have not been quite ready to leave it all on the court and move forward.

Terry Foster of the Detroit News reported Johnson was not exactly jovial following his team’s ten point victory.

Johnson wasn’t in a happy mood afterward and was seen lurking near the court where the Pistons exit and near the loading dock where the teams exit. He was escorted away by teammates.

The ill feelings stemmed from the 7:16 mark of the fourth quarter when Johnson exploded baseline for a wild dunk around an outstretched Drummond.

On the following Raptors possession, Drummond answered Johnson’s drive with a hip-check at the free throw line, dropping Johnson to the floor like a sack of potatoes.

Drummond Check

No punches were thrown and Drummond received both a technical foul and flagrant 1 for his participation in the on-court incident. There’s been no word from the league as to whether Drummond may face a fine or suspension for his play.

Still, Johnson appeared more than willing to twist the knife following the contest, dressing up his own accomplishment. “That was nasty, right,” Johnson boasted. “I cocked that joint back and banged on him.”
