During the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 52-21 blowout win over the Chicago Bears, chants of “F** Ben Johnson”* broke out at Ford Field, directed at the former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator who is now the Bears’ head coach.

After the game, quarterback Jared Goff made it clear he wasn’t a fan of the crowd’s reaction.
“Goff said he didn’t like the chants,” reported Mike Payton of A to Z Sports. “He said [Ben Johnson] did a lot for the Lions when he was here and he didn’t deserve that.”
Johnson, who helped build Detroit’s high-powered offense before taking the Chicago job this past offseason, received plenty of boos throughout the day, from pregame introductions to his team’s struggles on the field. But while fans reveled in Detroit’s dominant win, Goff wanted to remind everyone of the respect Johnson earned during his time in Detroit.
