Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is headed back to the Pro Bowl.
The Lions announced that Goff has been named to the 2026 Pro Bowl Games, replacing Sam Darnold on the NFC roster. It marks another milestone in what has been a strong stretch of football for Detroit’s franchise quarterback and a continued sign of league-wide respect for his play.

Goff’s 2025 season was one of the most productive of his career. He started all 17 games, completing 68.0 percent of his passes for 4,564 yards, 34 touchdowns, and just 8 interceptions, finishing with a passer rating over 105. He once again operated Ben Johnson’s offense with precision, command, and efficiency, helping the Lions remain among the NFC’s elite.
Since arriving in Detroit in the Matthew Stafford trade, Goff has steadily rebuilt his reputation from “bridge quarterback” to unquestioned franchise leader. He now owns multiple 4,000-yard seasons in Honolulu Blue and has guided the Lions to sustained playoff contention.
Being selected as a Pro Bowl replacement may not carry the same fanfare as a first-ballot nod, but around the league it still reflects one thing clearly: Jared Goff is viewed as one of the NFC’s top quarterbacks, and Detroit’s offense is built around a player who continues to perform at a high, consistent level.
For Lions fans, it’s another reminder of just how far both Goff and the franchise have come.
