When Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football, either everything will be on the line for the Lions, or nothing will be on the line, depending on what happens earlier in the day. But regardless of what is on the line for the Lions when the game begins, you can bet your bottom dollar they will give it their all to make sure Rodgers and his team do not get into the NFL Playoffs.
What did Jared Goff say about being aware of Aaron Rodgers’ comments?
On Wednesday, Goff spoke to reporters about playing the Packers on the primetime stage and he said it is “big” and he feels “it’s something we’ve earned” after their 1-6 start to the season.
Goff also added that he has a lot of respect for Rodgers, but “we’re aware” of his recent comments about the Lions.
“It’s big,” Goff said. “We’re excited for it. I think it’s something we’ve earned. We’re playing for a playoff spot. We’ve been through a lot this year. We’re ready for the game that will be fun in front of everybody.”
If the Seattle Seahawks lose to the Los Angeles Rams earlier in the day, the Lions will be playing for a berth in the playoffs. If the Seahawks win, the Lions will be eliminated and only the Packers will still have a shot to get the final playoff spot over the Seahawks.
Nation, do you think the Lions will do what not many thought they would do before the season started?
