Another member of the Michigan State Spartans has announced his departure.
Redshirt sophomore wide receiver Javez Alexander has announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal, becoming the 15th Spartans player to do so since mid-November.
The @Freepsports has learned Michigan State WR Javez Alexander is in the NCAA transfer portal. The redshirt sophomore appeared in one game in his career, according to the school's website. Arrived in 2018 as a three-star recruit.

“We have worked very hard to stay ahead of the curve with our approach to recruiting and the new transfer portal landscape in college football,” MSU head coach Mel Tucker said on Dec. 16.
“We have adopted an NFL approach to recruiting. Much like the NFL, there’s a draft and free agency; in college football today, we have a national signing day and we have the transfer portal. That, itself, demands new approaches.”
He had only played in one game with the Spartans, a 2019 matchup against Western Michigan. He originally arrived in East Lansing in 2018 as a three-star prospect in the 2018 recruiting class, and was ranked by 247Sports as the No. 33 dual-threat quarterback and No. 53 overall player in the state of Ohio.
