Hot dog! Jeff Blashill credits changing pre-game meal for win

Whatever it takes to win, right?

The Detroit Red Wings broke a nine-game losing skid to the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night with a 4-2 victory, and head coach Jeff Blashill credited an unusual change of his routine for some good luck.

“I went from two hot dogs pre-game to three hot dogs,” he explained. “So I sacrificed for the team tonight.”

Hey, what’s a few extra calories if it means two big points in the standings?

“I’m not sure my nutritionist was real pleased,” he said.

I’m sure Jeff’s nutritionist will give him a pass!
