The plan was for Dan Dierdorf to be in Miami on New Year’s eve with his radio partner Jim Brandstatter to call the CFP semifinal between Michigan and Georgia.
Just moments ago, Brandstatter took to Twitter to announce that Dierdorf will not be in Miami due to “circumstances totally out of his control.” Brandstatter also announced that Jon Jansen will replace Dierdorf for the game.
“Just as a heads up, My broadcast partner for Mich. FB, Dan Dierdorf, can’t be at the CFB semi final v GA. Circumstances totally out of his control prevented him from getting to Miami. It is NOT Covid related. Jon Jansen will fill in as analyst. Dan will join by phone periodically.”
