Jim Harbaugh no longer betting favorite for vacant Carolina Panthers coaching job

Following the stunning news of the firing of Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera, speculation began to swirl regarding Michigan Football head coach Jim Harbaugh possibly being his replacement.

Harbaugh was even listed as the odds-on favorite to make his return to the NFL by taking the vacant Panthers job. However, Harbaugh is no longer in that position. In fact, he's now listed as having the fourth-highest odds.

He's been overtaken in first place by Robert Saleh, who is the current defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers. Saleh is currently listed with 5-1 odds for the Panthers job. Second on the list is Jason Garrett, the current Dallas Cowboys head coach with 11-2 odds. And rounding out the top three is Dan Quinn with 6-1 odds; he's currently the Atlanta Falcons head coach.

Harbaugh's odds now sit at 13-2. He has two years remaining on the seven-year pact he signed with Michigan in 2014, and is one of college football's highest paid coaches.
