2020 has not been kind to the Michigan Wolverines football team. Not only are they off to a 2-3 start, but it took them triple overtime to beat a Rutgers team in which they were a double-digit favorite.

Prior to Saturday night’s game vs. Rutgers, former Michigan great Desmond Howard said the general consensus of the former players he has talked to is that “there’s no juice.”
“I had a conversation with a couple of friends, former players, and I asked them, ‘What do you see?’ General consensus was, there’s no fire. There’s no juice. They’re just out there playing,” said Howard.
On Monday, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh spoke to reporters and when asked about Howard’s comments, he said he believes his team is playing with energy.
“As far as the juice on the team, I think guys are playing with energy, guys are really into it and passionate and playing the game to the best of their God-given ability. And that’s everything that I ask for,” Harbaugh said.
