On Saturday afternoon, Jim Harbaugh had an opportunity to accomplish a feat that no Michigan coach had accomplished in over 20 years, and that is exactly what he did. That feat, of course, was defeating the Ohio State Buckeyes two years in a row. But the Wolverines did not just defeat the Buckeyes, they dominated them to the tune of 45-23 at The Horseshoe. Following the game, Harbaugh was asked if he was surprised by the Wolverines’ dominance over Ohio State.
What did Jim Harbaugh say about Michigan’s dominance over Ohio State?
Following the game, Harbaugh spoke to reporters, and when asked if he was surprised by the Wolverines’ dominance over the Buckeyes, he said he is not.
“It wasn’t anything new. Saved some things. Had some nice things — emptied the playbook in a lot of ways. Got the deep shots. Saved some things for this game, but overall, no.”
After trailing 20-17 at halftime, Harbaugh made some halftime adjustments, and his team responded by absolutely lighting up Ohio State in the second half. In fact, the Wolverines outscored the Buckeyes 28-3 in the final two quarters.
Up next for Harbaugh and the Wolverines is the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis. The opponent will be known by the end of the day.
