Jim Harbaugh to throw out first pitch before Tuesday’s Detroit Tigers game

The Detroit Tigers media relations department has confirmed that University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh will be throwing out the first pitch before Tuesday’s game between the Tigers and Pittsburgh Pirates at Comerica Park.

The game itself is scheduled to begin at 7:08 p.m. and will feature Justin Verlander pitching for the Tigers.

Harbaugh is a big baseball fan and even took the opportunity to coach first base for the Oakland Athletics during Spring Training in March.

The Tigers also allowed head coach Mark Dantonio to throw out the first pitch in 2008 following his first year at Michigan State.
