A familiar baseball destination in Metro Detroit is getting a fresh new identity.

According to reports, Jimmy John’s Field in Utica and the United Shore Professional Baseball League (USPBL) are officially being rebranded in 2026 following a new long-term naming rights deal with United Wholesale Mortgage. As part of the 10-year agreement, the ballpark will now be known as UWM Field, and the league will be rebranded as the USPBL powered by Mortgage Matchup.

It’s the next step in a partnership that has been building for years, and league officials say it reflects a shared commitment to community, growth, and fan experience.

According to the announcement, a new marquee featuring the UWM Field name will be unveiled immediately, with additional signage being installed throughout the complex ahead of Opening Day.

“UWM has been an incredible partner since day one, and this next step represents an exciting evolution of that relationship,” said USPBL Owner, CEO, and Commissioner Andy Appleby. “This announcement highlights a shared commitment to teamwork, connection, and community — values that are at the heart of both organizations. We’re proud to continue growing together in a way that supports our players, fans and local community.”

The timing is especially meaningful for United Wholesale Mortgage, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026. For UWM, the expanded partnership is about more than just signage.

“As we celebrate UWM’s milestone 40th anniversary in 2026, we are thrilled to deepen our roots in the community through this expanded partnership,” said UWM Chief Marketing Officer Sarah DeCiantis. “This change enhances local awareness of UWM as a top workplace in Metro Detroit and provides a fantastic opportunity through Mortgage Matchup to help consumers understand the value of having a local expert advising them. Extending this partnership and bringing UWM to the field reinforces our commitment to building something lasting and strengthening our connection with fans and the local community.”

Since launching in 2016, the USPBL has become one of the area’s most popular summer attractions, welcoming more than 2 million fans over the past decade. The league’s 2026 season will begin on May 15 and run through mid-September, now under its new branding and expanded partnership.

For fans, the experience at the ballpark won’t change, but the name on the front gate and the league identity will reflect a deeper, long-term investment in Metro Detroit’s baseball and business communities.
