There is no sugar coating it, the Detroit Red Wings have been very bad so far this season.
So, when they hosted the Boston Bruins, who are one of the best teams in the NHL, the outcome seemed obvious.
But that was not the case at all as the Red Wings played arguably their best game of the season as they skated away with a 4-2 win.
During the game, Jonathan Bernier accomplished something no Red Wings goalie has accomplished in over 40 years as he finished the game with a pair of assists.

We know it’s going to be a difficult road as Steve Yzerman builds the Wings into a contender, but it sure is fun to have a game like Friday’s every now and then!
