There really has not been a shortage of talk regarding former Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson. Of course, the majority of that talk has been from Johnson himself about why he left the game of football and how he was treated poorly by the Lions.

Since Megatron’s negative comments, Lions team president Rod Wood revealed that he had been in contact with Johnson and that the future Hall of Famer had an open invitation to training camp.

As far as we know, Calvin has not committed to attending Lions camp but on Monday we found out that it’s not because he does not have the time.

According to reports, Johnson was at Miami Dolphins camp on Monday to talk with the Dolphins receivers. It’s no real surprise that he made an appearance as he has a relationship with former Lions and current Dolphins WR coach Shawn Jefferson.

Johnson was drafted by the Detroit Lions No. 2 overall in the 2007 NFL Draft. In his nine seasons in the league, he had 731 receptions for 11,619 yards and 84 total touchdowns.

Calvin was selected to the Pro Bowl in his final six seasons with the Lions and was a First-Team All-Pro on three occasions.
