If you happened to watch the Detroit Lions go into Miami and defeat the Dolphins in Week 7, you were able to see one of the best rushing performances in recent Lions history.
As a team, the Lions rushed for 248 yards with a whopping 158 of those coming from running back Kerryon Johnson. The Lions rookie looked like one of the best running backs in the NFL against the Dolphins as he ran for 8.3 yards per carry.
Because of his great effort in Week 7, Johnson was named the FedEx Ground Player of the Week, while Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes took home the honors for the Air Player of the Week.

Grading the Detroit Lions’ trade for DL Damon ‘Snacks’ Harrison
There is nothing better than waking up to a blockbuster trade that involves your favorite team.
That’s exactly what happened on Wednesday morning when I woke up to a tweet from Ian Rappoport reporting that the Detroit Lions the New York Giants for DL Damon Harrison.
So, how should Lions GM Bob Quinn be graded on this trade?
Let me begin by saying that I have never been more confident in handing out a grade than I am now. (Well, giving the Teez Tabor draft pick an F was pretty solid too)
By acquiring Harrison, Quinn was able to solidify the Lions’ biggest weakness, stopping the run. Harrison, who many refer to as “Snacks,” has led the NFL in run stops in each of the past three seasons and through Week 7 of this season, he is No. 2 in the league in that category.
