Last week, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was sacked six times by the Carolina Panthers and hurt his ankle in the process. Though he practiced all week, Stafford was listed as questionable on the Lions injury report.

According to a source of NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Stafford will play on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. Rapoport also noted that rookie receiver Kenny Golladay is expected to miss another week with an injured hamstring.

Stafford has led the Lions to a 3-2 record so far this season, good enough for second place in the NFC North, behind the Green Bay Packers. The Lions signal-caller has completed 64.2% of his passes for 1116 yards and nine touchdowns, while only throwing one interception.

The last time Stafford led the Lions into New Orleans, they came away with dominating 28-13 win in Week 12 of the 2016 season. In that contest, he was brilliant, completing 30 of 42 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns.
