According to reports, the Detroit Lions have released tight end Logan Thomas to make room for RB J.D. McKissic, who they claimed off waivers earlier in the day.

This move definitely comes as a bit of a surprise as it puts the Lions down to two tight ends on their roster.
Do not be surprised if Thomas is back with the Lions shortly, or if they sign Isaac Nauta to their practice squad…or both.
