JUST IN: Detroit Tigers call up prospect to make MLB debut

It's September 1st and you can bet the Detroit Tigers will be making plenty of roster moves in the coming days.

On Sunday, the Tigers announced they are calling up RHP Bryan Garcia from the Toledo Mud Hens to make his MLB debut.

Garcia, who is 24, was selected by the Tigers in the 6th round of the 2016 MLB Draft. In 3 Minor League seasons, he is 8-5 with a 2.50 ERA in 107 relief appearances. Garcia also accumulated 25 saves over that time. In 2019 with the Mud Hens, he went 3-0 with a 2.97 ERA in 31 games out of the bullpen.

Garcia is currently the No. 21 ranked Tigers' prospect according to MLB Pipeline.
