According to the Detroit Tigers, they have claimed the contract of OF Troy Stokes Jr. from the Milwaukee Brewers.
In order to make room for Stokes Jr. on the 40-man roster, the Tigers have given LHP Ryan Carpenter his unconditional release.

In 95 games in the Brewers minor league system this season, Stokes batted .250 with nine home runs and 40 RBIs.
He was originally selected by the Brewers in the 4th round of the 2014 MLB Draft.
