If you happen to be a die-hard fan of the Detroit Tigers, the 2017 season has been a very difficult one to watch.

Yet, with just six games remaining in the regular season, they have put themselves in position to accomplish a feat not many thought they could pull off. In fact, thanks to an epic month of September where the Tigers have won just 4 of 24 games, they are now just 1/2 game from glory.

That’s right fans, if the Tigers can just stay the course and remain focused for their final road trip of the season, there is no question in my mind that they can get the job done.

*If you have not caught on by now, I am being sarcastic! (Kind of)

For those of you who have switched your attention away from baseball and over to college football and the NFL, the Tigers currently sit at 62-94. That abysmal record puts them a full 36 games behind the Cleveland Indians in the American League Central and has then sitting dead-last in the entire American League.

But, that record also puts the Tigers just 1/2 game behind the Philadelphia Phillies (62-95) and the San Francisco Giants (62-95) for the worst record in all of Major League Baseball. And as you may or may not know, the team that finishes with the worst overall record in the league receives the No. 1 draft pick in 2018.

Staying unmotivated and ice-cold will be the key for the Tigers during this final stretch. That, along with Brad Ausmus still calling the shots, should give fans confidence that they can get the job done and walk away with the No. 1 pick.

GO TIGERS!!!
