In just about an hour, Michigan will take the field at the ‘Big House’ against the hated Ohio State Buckeyes. Though Michigan has had a rough season, losing to both Michigan State and Ohio State, beating the Buckeyes would allow Wolverines fans to sleep a little better for the next 365 days.

On Saturday morning, former Wolverine player Chris Wormley tweeted out a photo trolling OSU one final time before ‘The Game’ kicks off.

For those who live under a rock and missed “The Game” in 2016, Wormley’s shirt references one particular play last season that has be questioned by many. In the second overtime session with Michigan up 27-24 and Ohio State needing to answer, Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett on a 4th & 1 allegedly reached the first down marker to extend the drive for OSU.

Had he been ruled short, Michigan would have won the game and played in the Big Ten title game. Instead, Barrett was awarded the first down and on the next play, Ohio State’s Curtis Samuel scored from 15 yards out to give the Buckeyes a 30-27 win. The win eventually gave Penn State the nod in the Big Ten Championship by tiebreaker rules.

This year, Ohio State has already punched their ticket to Indianapolis. Michigan has virtually nothing to lose and can play the role of spoiler and effectively end any chance that OSU has of making the College Football Playoff.
