The Detroit Red Wings have already played seven games of their 2017 schedule and there has been no sign of restricted free agent, Andreas Athanasiou, as he and the team have not been able to agree to a deal.
But according to a report from Elliotte Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada, Athanasiou could soon be joining his Red Wings teammates as a 1-year deal could be in the works.

Athanasiou, who is 23-years-old, scored 18 goals and had 11 assists in 64 games for the Red Wings in the 2016-2017 season.
