It has been an extremely challenging spring for Detroit Lions‘ quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly.
Kelly was diagnosed with a brain tumor which was removed during a 12-hour surgery. She is now back at home recovering but it has not been easy.
When news broke that Kelly had the brain tumor that required surgery and then an extensive recovery time, there was speculation that Matthew could sit out the 2019 season to be with his wife.
On Tuesday, he was at Lions’ OTAs and was asked about not playing in 2019.
“Never crossed my mind,” said Stafford, who is clearly committed to the Lions.
