JUST IN: Tampa Bay Lightning release funny statement regarding Steve Yzerman

Steve Yzerman is officially the Executive VP and General Manager of the Detroit Red Wings.

Before deciding to come back to Detroit, Yzerman had a successful run with the Tampa Bay Lightning including winning the General Manager of the Year award following the 2014-15 season.

Just after Yzerman was announced as the Red Wings new GM, Lightning Chairman and Governor Jeff Vinik released a statement thanking Steve for his contributions to Tampa Bay. The last part of the statement is pretty funny.
