On Monday, Detroit Tigers right fielder J.D. Martinez tweeted the following video of him hitting the weights hard in preparation for the 2017 season, which is right around the corner.

After seeing the tweet, a Tigers fan chose an interesting response, which instead of supporting Martinez for his efforts, instead took a shot at Justin Verlander. As you can see below, and I may be reading into things, but this fan seems to have a problem with Verlander's relationship with Kate Upton and how it affects his offseason workouts.

Ever since Verlander started dating Upton, fans have blamed the relationship anytime he struggles. In 2016, J.V. shut his haters up after finishing 2nd place in the American League Cy Young voting. (He should have won!)
