On Wednesday afternoon, Ben Verlander hopped on Twitter to break the biggest news of the Major League Baseball offseason up to this point when he tweeted that his brother, Justin Verlander, was returning to the Houston Astros on a 1-year, $25 million deal with a player option for a second year.
A day later, Ben took to Twitter and posted his reaction to hearing that his brother will be back pitching in professional baseball.
“I am so happy for my brother. I haven’t seen him pitch in 2 years on a major league mound. He’s back, he’s healthy, he’s ready to go!”
This is pretty awesome. (Too bad it is not with the Detroit Tigers…yet)
