As you have probably heard by now, an absolute tragedy happened this past week as Marlo Jones, the infant son of Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones Jr. and his wife Jazmyn, passed away unexpectedly.

On Monday, Kelly Stafford took to Instagram to ask for more prayers and to talk about what great parents the Jones are and how strong they have been despite losing their son.
“Matthew and I always talk about how amazing the Jones are at being parents. We are constantly asking what their secrets are because kids are the most polite, well behaved, well rounded children we know. The Jones are the definition of family over everything.. and when I say family, I am not only talking about Marv, jaz, and their kids.. I am talking about everyone they love. They put everyone before themselves. They are the most genuinely kind people we know. It is such an honor and privilege to call them friends. I know it breaks everyone who knows them, even those who don’t, to see this tragedy happen to them. It’s something that is impossible to understand and impossible to be not somewhat angry about. But when speaking with jaz she said one thing that put me in awe.. she said we can’t dwell on “why,” we just have to know God had a reason. It truly shows how strong this woman is. I know with the strength Marv and jaz have, the strength and values they have instilled in their kids… and with the help of their guardian angel.. this family will heal, with time. I couldn’t imagine how many prayers have already been said for these amazing people and how much more God will be hearing about them. They are truly a remarkable family and I hope everyone who reads this takes a second to pray for them. We love you so much Jones family and we know Marlo is looking down on all of you with that big beautiful smile. Rest In Peace sweet boy.”
