Just moments after Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford inked the largest deal in NFL history, every major news outlet was in on the story.
Unfortunately, for those news outlets, not all of them could escape the wrath of Kelly Stafford, Matthew’s wife. The Staffords have been rained upon with blessings in the last year or so. Obviously tonight the couple had 135 million reasons to celebrate, but back in March, they also welcomed twin girls, Chandler and Sawyer Stafford into the world.
Since then though, all the talk about the family seemingly stemmed around Stafford’s contract extension and whether or not it would get signed before the season started, or if it would be delayed. That was until Mrs. Stafford took to Instagram with some comments about the increasing participation of protests around the NFL.
I believe we can stand and show our unity against everything that doesn’t represent what this flag stands for. Let’s stand united against terrorists, against racism, against white supremacists, against killing of cops, against police brutality, against sex slave trafficking.. against anything that is not the ideal for this country. Let’s unite in the fact that God made us all unique and different and that is something we should cherish. The lady of the Stafford household yielded her lethal Instagram sword again today to take issue with the NFL’s official Instagram (social media wars!) misspelling the name of its highest paid athlete.
