Ken Daniels & Mickey Redmond charity bobbleheads incoming!

The Detroit Red Wings announced Wednesday the date of their latest Bobblehead Night. It’ll be Sunday, December 2, when the Red Wings take on the Colorado Avalanche. The bobbleheads are Red Wings commentators Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond.

Unlike previous bobblehead nights, the bobbleheads will not be distributed to fans as they enter Little Caesars Arena. Alternatively, fans must purchase ticket from a special link (found here) to guarantee their Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond bobbleheads. They will receive a voucher to exchange at the game for the bobbleheads.

More importantly than the bobbleheads themselves though, a portion of the proceeds will go towards the Jamie Daniels Foundation. The foundation was set up by Ken Daniels after the tragic passing of his son from an accidental overdose. The foundation aims to provide education, resources, guidance and financial support to people battling drug addiction.

The money is going towards a good cause, and those Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond bobbleheads are pretty sweet. So make a night of it! Follow the link in the article above to secure your tickets.

Yeah, that’s right, I said it.

For years now, basically for as long as Jimmy Howard has been starting goaltender for the Detroit Red Wings, we’ve heard it after almost every loss. Heard it, read it, debated it, and gotten tired of it. There’s always a handful in the crowd.

“Thanks, Howard! Get rid of him already! Garbage goaltender!”
