The Michigan State Spartans improved to 9-1 on the season this evening, taking down the Maryland Terrapins by a 40-21 final score and getting rid of any bad thoughts that lingered from last week's stinging defeat at the hands of Purdue.
Of course, the offense once again led the way for the host Spartans, as QB Payton Thorne tossed four touchdowns and went 22-for-31 for 287 yards. Meanwhile, Kenneth Walker III had himself another productive afternoon, racking up 143 yards with two more touchdowns on 30 carries.
And he played during the afternoon through some pain in the form of a rolled ankle.
MSU RB Kenneth Walker III said his injury "was just a rolled ankle" and he can play through the pain.

The No. 8 Spartans will take on the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes next week in Columbus, and Walker is already looking ahead.
“I don't remember when I played in a game like that to be honest,” he said. “I know they're a great team.”
