As the 2020 NFL season approached, there were reports that WR Kenny Golladay would get a contract extension with the Detroit Lions prior to Week 1.
Well, it is now Week 15, Golladay is dealing with a nagging injury, and he still has not signed a contract extension and he won’t be singing one anytime soon considering the Lions do not have a general manager at the time.
On Friday, Golladay spoke to the media and he was asked if he wants to be with the Lions long-term.
Golladay responded by saying, “I want to be here. Like the city. Like what’s going one. Yep.”
Q: Do you want to be here long-term?
Golladay: "I want to be here. Like the city. Like what's going on. Yep."

Golladay also added that he really wants to get a long-term contract done rather than have the franchise tag placed on him.
“Being honest, I’d rather get a deal done. But if the franchise tag would come, I wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. For sure, I want to get a long-term deal done.”
Last one. Golladay on the potential of a franchise tag: "Being honest, I'd rather get a deal done. But if the franchise tag would come, I wouldn't be able to do anything about it. For sure, I want to get a long-term deal done."
