In case you missed the College Football Playoff Show on Tuesday night, ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit threw some major shade at the Michigan Wolverines by saying he thought they would use COVID-19 as a reason ‘wave the white flag’ to avoid playing Ohio State. To see that video, please scroll down.
Well, apparently Herbstreit has had a change of heart (or he was told by his bosses that he should have a change of heart) and he has taken to Twitter to apologize to and the Wolverines.
Following the conclusion of the show, Herbstreit posted an apology video, claiming he “misspoke” and he’s just “frustrated” with where college football is at right now. He also said that he should not have said what he said during the show.
Check it out.

Nation, do you buy this apology?

It has been a train-wreck of a season for Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines as they currently sit at 2-4 with two regular-season games remaining against Maryland and Ohio State.
But according to Kirk Herbstreit of ESPN, he thinks Michigan will use COVID-19 as a reason to “wave the white” flag rather than having to take the field against the Buckeyes.
“I still think Michigan waves the white flag and potentially avoids playing Ohio State next week,” Herbstreit said on Tuesday’s College Football Playoff Rankings Show.

Nation, do you agree with Herbstreit? Would Harbaugh and the Wolverines really lie about their COVID-19 cases and “wave the white flag” rather than square off against Ohio State?
Personally, I do not believe there is any chance and hell that Harbaugh would allow this to happen. That being said, it has been a really odd year and there have been rumblings about some Wolverines’ players not giving 100% in some of their games.
