Ever since Matt Patricia was hired as head coach of the Detroit Lions, there has been an attempt to change the team culture into that of a winning organization.
But the latest decision by the Lions' brass has some people confused and upset.
According to Michael Rothstein of ESPN, the annual Detroit Economic Club luncheon, which has always featured a player at each table, will no longer do so. Instead, just a “select group” of players will be available to sit at the roundtables.
The changes under the Lions new staff continue. At the yearly Detroit Economic Club luncheon, players and coaches won't be seated at every table. Just a select group available for their typical roundtables.

The Lions came up with a pretty lame excuse for the club.
“Due to the team's preparation for their final preseason game, the Lions are only able to have a small group of select players and coaches at this year's event. Therefore, most tables will not have a player or coach.”

Are you kidding me? Did the Lions just use the final preseason game as an excuse to not make enough players and coaches available to break bread with their fans for the first time in history?
Rothstein also noted via Twitter that the event only lasts about an hour, which makes this even worse.
For a team with such a loyal fan base, you would think they would do everything in their power to be loyal in return.
All of that being said, just give me a playoff appearance, that is more important than a luncheon!
