The Michigan Wolverines aren’t off to the best of starts, and it could cost them when it comes to Bowl Season.

Following a 1-2 start to the 2020 campaign, the most recent Bowl projections courtesy of CBS writer Jerry Palm have the Wolverines looking on the outside in at the College Playoff picture, as well as missing out on Bowl games. They’ve appeared in a Bowl game every year since 2015, and have only missed out on them three times since 1975.
Palm’s Bowl scenario would see Chief rival Ohio State would face Clemson in the Rose Bowl, while Alabama and Oregon would compete in the Sugar Bowl.
However, Michigan still has time to right the ship. The NCAA also decided to lower the Bowl eligibility requirement of at least a .500 record.
Under head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Wolverines are just 1-4 in Bowl appearances.
