With a new found void at defensive tackle after Tyrunn Walker‘s broken leg ended his season, the Lions wasted little time in signing a familiar face. Andre Fluellen has signed with the team for the 11th time (yes, the 11th time).
The Lions signed DT Andre Fluellen. Drink.

A third round draft pick of the Lions in 2008, Fluellen played his first four seasons in Detroit, and has also spent time with the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills.
He played eight games in Detroit last year, and the hope is that he can immediately pick up step in and be productive, having had some time in defensive coordinator Teryl Austin‘s scheme. Fluellen is versatile and can play both on the interior of the defensive line, as well as defensive end if needed.
While Haloti Ngata is dealing with a calf injury, it remains to be seen if the Lions will make anymore moves leading up to this Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. Caraun Reid, Gabe Wright, and Jermelle Cudjo are the other defensive tackles on the roster at this time.
