Colton Pouncy added more context, reporting that Miami’s first-team offense “didn’t score in the 7-8 plays vs. Detroit’s first-team defense” and that their red zone work was “ugly.” Even Miami’s extended second-unit session ended with only a single touchdown on the final play.
Simply put, the Lions’ defense dictated everything, pass rush pressure, tight coverage, and physical tackling all combined to frustrate Miami from start to finish.
